Magic Tricks- A Crash Course!
Many of the magic tricks that you witness on shows are rather easy to master and usually need little props to perform. Some of the most common props used in magic shows include matchboxes, coins and cloths. There are different types of magic tricks and the most commonly seen are card tricks and coin tricks.
Magic tricks like many things need lots of practice in order for you to master it. Hence, for a beginner, it is advisable to practice with simple magic tricks instead of practicing the more complicated ones. Furthermore, mastering the simple magic tricks allow you to gain confidence faster which gives you the motivation to learn even more tricks. 
Many of the most basic magic tricks can impress many people but practice is still need to achieve impressive results. Harry Houdini for example started by picking locks. He is so skilled at picking locks due to tremendous amount of practice that he can pick any locks with his eyes blindfolded and hand tied.
As I mentioned before, there are many types of magic tricks. You probably saw many of those on television. The first type of magic tricks is called close up magic. Normally, close up magic don’t require much skill and is more suitable for amateurs to perform. Simple items like cards and coins are used and close up magic make people believe in one thing which is false.
The second type of magic tricks is called the platform magic. As the name suggests, platform magic is done on a much larger scale. They are usually performed on stage and you see people inside a box being cut or even see people levitating when the table below is removed. This type of magic tricks requires lots of confidences as you are performing for a larger audience. Any mishap can destroy the whole show.
The last type of magic tricks is called stage magic. Stage magic are performed very rarely but when done perfectly, it can amazed many people. Such performances include making the whole statue of liberty disappear.
If you are really committed to mastering magic tricks, it is definitely advisable to start small. Begin with tricks that don’t need many props. If you are not experienced enough, having too many props may confuse you and ruin your magic trick.
Besides knowing how to perform magic tricks, confidence is also another key to successfully pull off a trick. Confidence is the key to make the crowd convince that you are a master magician.
Magic tricks aren’t perfect if you do not know how to utilize the power of distractions. Use humour, well practiced movements to distract the audiences. In that way, your magic tricks can be performed more easily. To master any magic tricks, you need to have the patience and willingness to learn. Commitment is needed to be a successful magician. Believe in yourself and you are on your path to be the best magician ever.
